Panama’s climate is hot, averaging 29⁰C. Summer clothes are recommended.


Registration Charges and Accommodations

This event is managed by Congrex Panama who operate a secure credit card transaction system for your protection.


Identification

For security reasons, upon registration, all attendees will receive a badge that must be worn at all times, including social events.

Panama is 120 Volt, 60 Hz.

The venue for the event is the Horel Riu Panama Plaza.


Time

Panama time is the same year-round (GMT+5), the same as the US Eastern Standard Time.


Restaurants and Shops

Restaurants in Panama typically open from 1200-1500 for lunch and 1900-2300 for dinner. Shops open from 1000-1900Monday through Saturday.


Language

The official language in Panama is Spanish, but many panamenians speak English.


Pre-Registered Attendees and Walk-in Registrations

There will be a registration desk located inside the venue where pre-registered and pre-paid attendees may collect their badges, schedule and other event documentation. Those wishing to register may do so provided they pay at the registration desk.


Driving in Panama

Visitors to Panama are permitted to drive for 90 days using a valid driving licence from another country.


Currency

The unit of currency in Panama is the Balboa€, which is equivalent the US Dollar. Most major credit cards are widely accepted.

Tips and Tipping

We recommed you to add the 10% tip to your bill. However, please note that tips are often already included on your bill.


Religion

Most Panamanians are Catholics but other religions and cultures are fully accepted and Panama has many non-Catholic churches, temples and synagogues.

It is safe to walk around the commercial areas of Panama but it is advisable not to wear expensive jewellery or carry large amounts of cash. It is recommended to use the taxi services of hotel.

Visitors from all countries are obliged to hold a valid passport and plane ticket and at least $500 to enter Panama. Cuban citizens must also provide an authorised visa signed by the embassy. We suggest that you check the latest visa requirements with your local representative before you travel.
